Drive Healthy Without Back Stiffness

Driving has usually been associated with back stiffness. Sitting in a solitary position for a long period of time can place a strain on your back and result in back pain. But this does not necessarily mean that back trouble must be the final result of driving. There are certain easy things you can do to make your drive a back pain free experience.

Correct posture is the key to agony free driving. Don’t sit in a too laid back position while driving. Almost all of the folks sit in a fashion that their back and shoulders are slouched while head is bent forward. This position increases the strain on the back which could lead to back problems like sciatica. Also, it can lead to muscles getting stiffened and tight, joined with cramps. Therefore, the most effective way out is to sit straight with your tailbone as much in place as possible.

The position of your car seat is the very next thing you want to take care of. It must offer the maximum comfort for you to be in a position to drive even for extended intervals. Enough leg room is another must have for cosy driving.

The only thing you can do to avoid back trouble while driving is to go through certain stretching exercises before you get moving. This is going to help you forestall sciatica. One such exercising is to hold your waist with both the hands and attempt to bend as backwards as practicable. Now in the same position, attempt to bend forward to the maximum extent. Do this five times and you will be good to go!

It is also recommended to do stretching exercise after every 1 hour of drive! This guidance comes convenient when you are on a long trip. You should try switching the driver every hour and if this is not possible then take 5 at least. Do some back exercise when you move out of the car because sitting in the same position causes muscle issues.
